First contact with Anita Dr. Helbig GmbH came about, as almost every Cartware GmbH reference does, through a recommendation rather than through sales work. Earlier approaches had not been able to meet the requirements of the end user and the operator in full, despite a considerable budget.
We were confronted with a "hybrid system" consisting of NEOS and Magento 2. It quickly became clear that neither system had been built to communicate with the other. Weaving CMS content into an e-commerce page, or the reverse, was not possible. Site navigation had to be maintained separately, once in NEOS and once in Magento 2.
An existing import/export system that looked promising at first led, because of its complex architecture, to recurring problems and unexpectedly high running costs. The heavy dependency on that particular vendor solution also made day-to-day flexibility harder.
The platform's page load times proved inadequate, which was clearly reflected in the lower conversion rate.

Because the existing Magento 2 platform did not meet our standards for code quality, the frontend implementation left room for optimisation, and rented modules were making our own work unnecessarily difficult, we decided on a relaunch of the platform without disappointing the client's budget expectations. Every dependency on rented modules was removed and replaced with tailor-made in-house development at a fixed price.
Since no irreplaceable features of the commercial Adobe Commerce licence were in use, the database and the framework code were migrated to Magento 2 Open Source. The licence costs saved could be invested in a support retainer, which allows targeted work to be commissioned and reduces total cost.
After just under four months of implementation we were able to hand the client a solution that met their business goals, with daily revenue rising rapidly by almost 1,000 per cent.
The prototypical NEOS installation was replaced by the proven, well-established CMS TYPO3. We are not a NEOS or TYPO3 partner, but we are TYPO3-certified.
Great attention was paid, and held to, to keeping the client independent of a technical service provider in their day-to-day business.

The primary challenge in taking this project over was avoiding downtime during the open-sourcing and the infrastructure migration of a completely unfamiliar project.
A sizeable codebase had to be adopted and improved without putting the conversion rate at risk.

You took us on as a client in a situation that was very difficult for us, and led our e-commerce project to great success in next to no time. And we are quite certain that this is only the beginning of our shared and successful journey.
Thank you for everything.
